Honors Diploma Requirements

An Honors Diploma will be awarded to a student who satisfactorily completes 28 units of high school courses with no more than one grade below 80. The student must also graduate with a cumulative 3.5 grade average on the LMA weighted 5.0 scale. These courses must include the following:

  • 4 English (required: 2 Honors-level)

  • 4 Math (required: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, & Advanced Math—2 Honors-level)

  • 4 Science (required: 3 Labs (2 Honors-level); no more than 2 from the same field)

  • 3 Social Studies (required: 1 Honors-level; choose from: U.S. History | World History | Government & Economics | Personal Finance)

  • 3 Foreign Language (required: same language)

  • 1 Bible (recommended elective)

  • 1 Physical Education

  • 1 Computer Science

  • 1 Fine Arts (choose from: Art Appreciation | Music | Speech & Drama)

  • 5 Electives (additional)

**Any student who has a grade below 70 on their high school transcript or in dual-enrollment courses will not be awarded an Honors Diploma. ‍ ‍
